Spirit of Grace & Visions Sundance Kid
Both Sundance and Grace are OFA good
on hips, TNS/CL clear. Grace is CEA/CH normal and Sundance is a carrier. None
of the puppies will ever develop the disease, but any puppies sold with a
breeding contract will be required to be DNA tested before breeding to
determine if he/she is a carrier. (Look at
www.optigen.com for more details on this test). |

Puppy Sale Contract with breeding rights
Puppy Sale Contract for spay/neuter
All puppies are sold on a
spay/neuter contract unless I approve otherwise. If you plan to show your
puppy he/she will be sold with full breeding rights, but you must sign a
breeding contract which requires that the dog is health screened for CEA/CH and
have hips either OFA or PennHip screened and must be at least two years old
before breeding.

Grace and Sundance’s
first litter.
Our puppies are born in the house and raised under foot. They
are handled from birth and will be introduced to many different sights and
sounds. All puppies are introduced to crates, and some early basic training, as
well as bathing, toenail clipping and grooming. They are played with and cuddled daily. We will ALWAYS take
our puppies back or help you place them if you cannot keep them for some reason.
We are committed to producing healthy, happy puppies and finding forever homes.
All puppies are health guaranteed.

puppies from past litters.

SOME CONSIDERATIONS
BEFORE YOU BUY A PUPPY
If you have never owned a Border Collie please read up
on the breed before deciding to purchase a puppy. Border Collies are great
dogs but require exercise and mental stimulation to be happy. They are
extremely intelligent and love to learn new things. They were bred to work
which is why they make such great sporting dogs (and of course, herding, which
is what they were bred for and where they excel). A Border Collie can make a
great family pet in the right home, however, Border Collies with very high
drive belong in herding or sporting homes. If you are a couch potato and want
a dog to hang out with while you watch TV do not get a Border Collie.
All puppies, regardless of breed, require a great deal
of time in the beginning and should be socialized with as many different
people, especially children, as you can manage. At the very least you should
have your puppy attend a good puppy kindergarten class where he/she can
socialize off leash with other puppies. As the puppy matures she/he should
attend at least one obedience class. This will help set the stage for a happy,
pleasant dog and a happy, pleasant home.
If you decide to purchase a puppy, please read
Before You Get Your Puppy, by Ian Dunbar. He also has other books. Two
that I like are titled After You Get Your Puppy, and The Good Little
Dog Book. I have a long list of books that I can recommend to you if you
are interested. |
