We have a very small
breeding program of American Paint and Quarter Horses at Rancho el Bigote. Our horses are all
handled daily from a very young age. They are gently trained to halter,
trailer, stand for bathing, hoof trims, etc. They are all used to being in
a trailer and are started in the round pen from a young age to learn
ground manners. At this time we are trying to reduce our herd so that we
can spend more quality time with the few horses we plan to keep for our
own pleasure. All of our horses are our friends. We will sell to good
homes only. If you are interested in purchasing one of our horses we
welcome you to come out and take a “test drive” in our arena.

The American Quarter
Horse is the first breed of horse native to the United States. These
powerful, compact, heavily muscled horses are known for their cow sense
(the ability to outmaneuver cattle) and calm disposition.
The American Paint
Horse has a combination of white and another color. Markings can be any
shape or size, and located virtually anywhere on the Paint's body. These
colors, markings and patterns, combined with stock-type conformation,
athletic ability and agreeable disposition, make a great horse. |
